Sorry, No Pictures

No pictures, but just wanted to give a little update to let you know we are still alive. We've opened our 2nd (temporary) location at the mall, and it is keeping us super busy. I don't think I've ever been as busy as this, but as soon as Christmas is over, I am planning on a 3 hour nap, a good book, and some good cuddling time with the kids (not necessarily in that order), but it will probably work out that way!

I can't get any pictures posted because the wire for the camera is at the mall. We don't have internet at the mall, but I had to download the camera at the mall location. That is where I have been working mostly, so I am cut off from the world, especially since my cell phone doesn't work in the store.

I went to the doctor today, and I am at 25 weeks. I am measuring 29 weeks. The doctor said it is not unusal for a woman to to be a off by a few weeks, but I am off by four. She isn't worried about it. She said the baby is probably positioned in a weird way. If I am measuring big next month, then we will go in for an ultra-sound just to check things out. So far I've gained only 7 1/2 pounds, so I am doing well in that area--it isn't that I am eating that much.

We are getting ready for the Christmas parade here. It will be going right by our store, so we are hoping to draw in some customers.

I hope each of you are doing well and may God richly bless you as you prepare for Christmas.

Getting Ready for the Experiment

Caelin carefully gets the red hot lava ready. Posted by Picasa

Science Experiment

In science, Caelin has been learning about volcanoes, so we made a replica of one out of a sprite bottle, newspaper, flour and water (for the paste), and green paint. We had fun putting it together. He let Ian and Morgan help paint, and they were excited about what was going to happen. We had to keep reminding them that when we did the experiment that hot lava was not going to come out and their toys and things around would be safe. Ian cannot wait until 2nd grade to be able to do this project! Posted by Picasa

Gabby's Saying....

Mom made me do this... Posted by Picasa

This One was before the Ride

After the ride, they weren't smiling that big! Gabby and I got tickled as they went around each time seeing the horror on their face. Posted by Picasa

Ian and Green

Ian declared when he was four that when he turned 5 his favorite color would not be yellow, but green, hence the green airplane. I am not taking the color change very well though. My favorite color used to be yellow for the longest time. Hopefully he won't start liking my favorite color now....pink. Posted by Picasa

The Fair

How sweet! Morgan just absolutely loved the fair. She rode everything everyone else did--even the kiddie roller coaster. Posted by Picasa

This One's For You, Mom

This is Aunt Kristi having been rolled by her niece and nephew--I have no idea who gave them that idea. Aunt Kristi had her other niece and nephew to roll her mom (their g-ma) while she was asleep. We (they) thought to get her back. What a good sport, Aunt Kristi! Posted by Picasa

How Did You Get That Baby In Your Belly, Mommy?

That was the question of the day from Ian... If any of you know Ian well enough, he is always asking questions or telling us things that just don't make sense. "Mommy, your hair smells like posioned apple juice..." "Mommy, you have an eyeball on your head..." "Why do you love me?" On and on and on and on.... well, sometimes, I know he is just being silly, sometimes I am silly along with him and answer him back with something even sillier. Sometimes I just ignore him and just hope he doesn't wait for an answer. In THIS case in asking about the baby, I chose the later. I really think my eyes bugged out and I became frozen for a minute. (He wasn't going away and was waiting for that answer). Still, I can't move and I am thinking, "what do I tell this 5 year old?" hmmm......
Caelin, right in back of him heard that question, and I thought maybe he would be waiting for an answer too, but he surprised me, and blurted out in a "dugh....voice," "because God planted a seed there." I started to tear up--I don't know if it was from relief of not having to answer "THE QUESTION," or of how proud I was of my 7-year old that didn't even have to think about it, and then I was disappointed in myself because I wasn't ready for "THE QUESTION."

Girl's First

So we are getting ready for lunch, ok, well, I am. I tell the two youngest to go wash their hands--(they are heavily into drawing--they hear me, but they just don't want to budge or even ask for a few more minutes). As of late, Ian has been trying me in the area of slow obedience--who is it that said..."slow obedience is disobedience--D. Wilson? Anyway, I told Ian to come to "THE COUCH," where his he would meet MR. SPOON, and he replies, "but Mom, remember, girls first!" I just about couldn't get through disciplining without laughing. I am glad Robby wasn't there, or we would have both lost it and nothing would have been taught. Posted by Picasa
