How Did You Get That Baby In Your Belly, Mommy?

That was the question of the day from Ian... If any of you know Ian well enough, he is always asking questions or telling us things that just don't make sense. "Mommy, your hair smells like posioned apple juice..." "Mommy, you have an eyeball on your head..." "Why do you love me?" On and on and on and on.... well, sometimes, I know he is just being silly, sometimes I am silly along with him and answer him back with something even sillier. Sometimes I just ignore him and just hope he doesn't wait for an answer. In THIS case in asking about the baby, I chose the later. I really think my eyes bugged out and I became frozen for a minute. (He wasn't going away and was waiting for that answer). Still, I can't move and I am thinking, "what do I tell this 5 year old?" hmmm......
Caelin, right in back of him heard that question, and I thought maybe he would be waiting for an answer too, but he surprised me, and blurted out in a "dugh....voice," "because God planted a seed there." I started to tear up--I don't know if it was from relief of not having to answer "THE QUESTION," or of how proud I was of my 7-year old that didn't even have to think about it, and then I was disappointed in myself because I wasn't ready for "THE QUESTION."

Hey Brad, No, Father Earlandson didn't mention it. But yes, we would love to have you guys--the invitation is always open! We long for some good fellowship!

The same day that I read your post about the I-man's "poisoned apple juice" comment, Noelle Grace told me that I had breath that smelled like "bubble muffins". Those crazy kids. I am hoping to make a kindergarten homeschool field trip to the Mid-America soon. Maybe we can turn it into a Lindsay/Ducktoe reunion.

Hey Ashley,It was good to hear from you. We'd love to have you guys come. I am planning a trip to the Mid-Amer. Museum myself. If you guys want to come on a weekend, know the house is open for you. I would gladly watch the girls for you too, if you want to go on a date.
